Newmarket Racecourses

Since expanding Cubiq’s offering over the last seven years, we now manage more than just The Jockey Club’s creative output. We are now Newmarket Racecourses PR development agency for all consumer PR. We also support the Racecourse from a digital content development perspective.
Newmarket home of horse racing 350 years

We were successful in a pitch to win the local and regional PR retainer activity around the 350th anniversary of horseracing for Newmarket Racecourses, with the specific focus of the main racedays – The QIPCO Guineas, Moet and Chandon July Festival and the Dubai Future Champions Festival.

Throughout the year, we extended our activity by request of the racecourses, to all raceday activity and with the remit of securing national coverage.

We successfully secured hundreds of pieces of coverage across regional print, online and broadcast (including a BBC Look East Inside Out segment, and ITV news coverage) as well as national print, online and broadcast media (including nationals such as The Telegraph, and BBC Radio 1.)

Because of these successes, we have continued to provide PR and digital content development for Newmarket Racecourses for the last three years.

Over the last 18 months we have successfully secured 571 pieces of coverage across regional print, online and broadcast as well as national print, online and broadcast media. Coverage has included The Telegraph, BBC Radio 1, Daily Mail, ITV Anglia, Group Travel World, Racing Post and Abellio Magazine.

We also support Newmarket Racecourses with video content. In 2017 we successfully established a strong relationship with internet sensations, Wocket Woy. By working with their team, we created six videos for Newmarket Racecourses to share with their audience. On Facebook these videos reached 90,800 people in August alone.

We have also delivered a number of various content-led activities for the racecourse since 2016 including implementing:

Newmarket Racecourses’ first Snapchat Filter for Dubai Future Champions Festival

350 photo stunt, complete with over 300 Newmarket Academy students on the Rowley Mile Racecourse track

Jockey vs Personal Trainer – where a jockey was pitted against a personal trainer at an adult assault course, to see who would come out victorious

Newmarket Town Plate – the story of the oldest race under rules in the world

July Festival Horse & Carriage Stunt – where a horse-drawn carriage travelled around East Anglia delivering a taste of the Moet & Chandon July Festival to the towns of East Anglia

We are currently working with Newmarket Racecourses, to deliver national and regional media coverage, and support with content development output, where required.
